I would say 60% fail, 25% get by, 10% make OK money, and 5% make very good money. I have no statistics to back that up though. =)
... no worries, 67% of statistics are mde up anyway.

I don't understand why people who want to get into this industry is hesitant to spend money to get access to the private forums. In any business, preperation and planning is key to its success. In our case, we needed information on the industry and that information was available as a member of iGames. So we paid the membership fee and got access to that information.

before i joined i was reluctant because what if it was vaporware? what if the private forums only had information that i already knew? what if ...
most of us are small businesses and the money could be better spent on parts or something else. but once you join it is totally worth it.

perhaps for some opening a business is a pipe dream. they arent willing or able to go the distance and/or arent serious enough. youve probably met them. the ones who come into your business and say 'hey, i wanted to open an icafe, can you tell me how so i can steal all your customers?'

if you have to ask, you probably shouldnt be running your own business.

Instead of asking this question the thing to do is crunch a lot of numbers. Figure in square footage, NNN, insurance power, equipment, internet ect. All your expenses. Excpect that list to grow.

Then you will be able to get a good idea how many computers or consoles you will need to rent out and for how long. Visiting a lot of centers at a lot of diffrent times of day and week will help here.

Anyway, no replacement for footwork and paperwork.
