FYI, I'm an old guy and I can tell you that most women lie about it...

age does matter. So does size.

    Re: Does age matter

Should reference more maturity level.  Do you have patience to pull 100 hour weeks for weeks on end, while all your friends are out partying?   Most anybody my age that I know personally wouldn't have been able to do what I do.  They are more worried about whose dating/marrying who, whose picking up the beer for the party, what's the big news on facebook, etc.  They can't plan past next week, let alone tackle the responsiblities of running a business.  If you can forget about friends and partying, you will be successful.  Ever since I was 10 I was trying to figure out how to make money, one of my very first ideas was to buy a ton of fiberglass and build my own water slide to put in my parents backyard(never happened of course). But I spent months trying to come up with designs, how to charge people, advertising, etc.  I have always been business minded.  My father says I'm like british in my thinking. Why try to sell people something they don't want, when you can just get them hooked to keep the money flowing(opiate trade for the brits) in our case espresso/energy drinks and gaming.  :-D

    Re: Does age matter

hey dinkme, I was very similar growing up.  I wanted to rent a mall space to sell chewy cookies when I was 16 (Mrs.Fields, Cookies by George, that kinda place).  Then I wanted to own a funky hotel and even came up with designs.  To this day, whenever I see an empty location on the street, I come up with a bunch of ideas as to what kind of business would do well there.  I had the kool aid stands when I was real small, and then had a couple paper routes when i was older.  Just sort of got off track in my twenties with saving.  Always dreaming, but never able to get the cash together.

I had almost started something else a year before I opened my game centre, and I think it would have worked in my city.  I realized though that I had better like what ever business I chose as I'd be doing it all day every day for the next X number of years.  And my other biz would have made money, but it wasn't my interest.  You have to love what you do to make it work. in my opinion.
