    Re: Winter ladders

Just curious of when today the Registration will open for the Jan. Halo 3 Ladders. Should I be expecting soon, or much later tonight, thanks.

if my local center is not on the center list, and they have been planning on having the ladder, what should i do? call them? post on their forums? give u the center name? for reference the center is wootz in louisville kentucky... i alrdy posted on their forums and i suppose just anxious to register... but we have until 28th or something right?

also... i would like an eta on the exact game rules, e.x. dmg setting, run speed, forged maps... although these settings may be hard to inforce i was just wondering, im geussing it will b default maps and the objective settings will come later :) dont have to play objective till week 2... thanks and i hope both questions r answered :)

    Re: Winter ladders

Sorry about that, it's been an interesting journey, years ago trying to find a place to have Halo events, and bam...there's Crazy Penguins, now for Tournements, just a few months ago I started thinking seriously about trying to get a team and get in the Halo spotlight and work on getting a sponsorship and get my name out there, bam...there's these ladders. So alot happened real fast, so I am trying to keep the ball rolling, lol. Sorry if I am any inconvenience.

    Postal,

Try asking the staff at w00tz about it. There is still plenty of time. I simply need them to let me know they want to be a participating location.

The rules are posted on each of the mini-sites. I'm not sure which Game Night in particular that you are referring to.

    Micro,

I'm happy to have engaged players, so by all means thanks for asking.

I was just wondering if there will be Battle Rifle start for the Objective games in the Halo 3 Game Night.  Or is it just going to be BR start for the Team Slayer games?

    Re: Winter ladders

Well  I've been talking to other gaming center owners on MIRC channel recently, - most of those who were discussing this agreed - we are having hard times pulling teams not only for CS:Source but for Halo3 as well(from which a lot of console players navigated away towards COD4) A lot of people agreed that CS dried out and TF2 has more potential at this time (Now, CS source is still #1 game in our store, TF2 is somewhere on the bottom, but I can guarantee I can pull team for TF2 a lot easier while big popularity of CS doesn't mean we'll get a team at all). Also, quite a few people agreed Crysis could fail as well (it's a great game but I have yet to see a single player in our store to play MP). Most of people agreed - DOTa would be a great game for ladder. Just an idea - may be there's some way to have polls for gaming centers about future ladders, or bigger discussion here, on forums.

    Forum feedback works great.

If you have a lot of Counter-Strike players, but no teams forming, I would consider making a Center House Team and inviting all the individual players to join it and then collectively they are the team. You could have possibly 12 people on the roster, and you play with whoever shows up.
