    How busy is it?

    Hi all,

I am just begining to do the researcg on opening up a gaming center, and I was hoping I could get a little bit of information for you guys.

I was just wondering a few things about how busy it is.  Here are some questions I have about tournaments:

How many people show up for your tournaments?
On that note, how many people can you have playing at once in your gaming center?
How often do you have tournaments?

What about during non-tournament times?  That is:

How many people do you tend to have in your store?
How many people can you have playing at once in your gaming center?

Lastly, what city are you located?

This stuff really matters, and I've really had troubles finding this information elsewhere online.  A little help?

    Thanks, guys!

    Justin

Tons of help in the private forums.  You're not going to get much out here asking for help for free.

    Precisely.

There's many threads, many pages long, with details on all this and much more.

Register an Honorary account for access. It's cheap and anyone will tell you, well worth it.

Or you could visit all the local LANs in your region, pay for some time, and observe.  Not all knowledge is a Wikipedia search away.

    Re: How busy is it?

If you are serious about opening a game center, you DEFINITELY need to join igames and get into the private forums.... loaded with topics and discussions.

For example: You seem very interested in tournaments, there is a current thread about tournaments that is now 5 pages long (over 50 replies)... and I'll bet you anything it is WAY different than what you are expecting regarding tourney's.

Good luck to you. See you on the inside.

You could always hit up the forums for the cafe management software and read up the free information and see if you still want to get into the icafe business.  But once you commit make sure you join igames.  If not for the tons of info, but the cute little avatars we have.
