    Cod4 Ladder

Wow, man was I shocked to see that no one had opened up a cod4 game night ladder forum.  So here, let me begin.

I am from Gamerz Edge LLC. and overall it was a good turn out for my team, azn ! Sensation. Running 5-0, and being gamerz edge's b-team, we ripped faces, followed closely by our 4-0 A-team, smL !      They ended up scriming cal after their four wins, to help them progress in igames tournament play, along with obviously cal.

You'll both be sorted into the top room next week so the matches will be more challenging.

Hey guys, it was great last night!

Just so everyone knows, iGames has a 32-slot server that you can all use for practicing and fun: 8.12.23.81 : 28960 (iGames COD4 Game_Nights PUB)

We also have a 20-slot server that you can play at: gb.nuclearfallout.net : 28930 (.GIGABITS LAN CENTER. ORLANDO) - Server located in Atlanta - very low ping!

This is s7n Beefery reporting. Have to give props to team dawgs and sml! for the beatings they threw at us. Keep up the good work everyone, and expect to see s7n move back up to T1 after next week.

    Re: Cod4 Ladder

OK so here is a good question, I was looking at the current standings.  If I read the rankings sections correctly, the first week of regular season, everyone is on the even playing ground.  So why is that even though we played the same number of matches as the 2nd place team, and won the same number of matches as the 2nd place team, they somehow have 2 more points than us.  From my understanding the scores bore no weight on the number of points you get, just the outcome.  So wouldn't it make sense that we would be tied for 2nd?  Maybe an admin can pipe in on this and explain it better.

    Re: Cod4 Ladder

You earn a percentage of your opponents points.  So, your points you receive will in part be based on how well they did.  (ie you get more points for beating a team that was 3-0 for you 3rd match say, than a team that was 0-3)

BTW, Team XG lost their 3rd match to NJSV and should be 2-1.

    Re: Cod4 Ladder

Although the above is partially correct wins and losses in reality means nothing, it revolves around your teams level and the level of those you play.  IE if my team plays a team the same lvl or close to the same lvl you earn a bigger chunk of points, 25% to be exact, then if we were to face a team 6 lvls lower.  The exact breakdown is listed at : http://www.igames.org/laddersites/MiniAboutView.asp?MiniID=178&AssetID=1246

There it breaks down points and how they are earned.  So in theory the above post and the link explains why the team is two points ahead.

I wasn't going to go nuts trying to explain what is already explained.  Simply, opponent quality is a factor.

Wow team dawgs definately gave us a run for our money. Pretty much neck and neck the whole time, we finally pulled off the 13-11 win over them.  Making azn sensation 9-0.  Hope to see team dawgs again next week on pipeline and all the other teams for that matter.

    Re: Cod4 Ladder

Ya, we ended up 9-1 after last night.  No offense AzN, but we really shouldn't have played that last match.  Gigabits LAN connection was flooded due to them having so many people playing that night which caused our entire teams pings to remain in the 500-700 range for about 80% of the match.  Oh well.  Gigabits is upgrading their pipe tomorrow apparently so this same problem shouldn't happen again.  Look forward to a rematch next week.

    Awesome performance, Team DAWGS!

I believe the main problem was that there was a Microsoft update last night. Regardless, our new EDIMAX EnduraLINK ER-1088 should be arriving tomorrow and we're going to do everything possible to have it online soon. Yes
